Best Drugstore Beauty Finds

There was a time when I never use to wear makeup. My makeup routine simply consisted of tinted moisturizer, mascara and tined lip balm. That’s it. To all you beauty fanatics, I apologize. I just never produced enough enthusiasm for beauty products. Talk to me about a Manolo Blahnik or Oscar de la Renta and I’ll totally jump into the conversation with an unworldly sense of vigor. However, when the conversation drifts towards beauty products, I lose all form of excitement, transitioning into stoicism. But it seems as if my makeup-free days are close to finished. It all started last year, when I headed to Sephora in order to purchase a refill of my favorite Chloé fragrance. To be clear, the main reason for my lack of love for beauty products was that I never truly understood how to use them. There are so many for multiple uses, that it became rather confusing. That all changed during my trip to Sephora. I discovered an entirely new world filled with countless possibilities. In other words, I …

The Best Fragrances For Spring

If you currently reside anywhere within the Northeast; you’ve probably had your fair share of snow this winter. Luckily, spring is just around the corner, which means the approach of warmer temps and fresh beauty ideas. To be honest, when it comes to make-up, I tend to keep it minimal. However, when it comes to my fragrances; that’s where I really excel. To me, scent is a huge essential of creating the perfect ensemble. An outfit is not quite the same without a spritz of perfume to render it into betterment. My fragrance palate is usually drawn to scents with floral and musky notes. I like a little vanilla here and there too, but nothing ignites my senses quite like peonies. The scent is so intoxicating, I could bathe in it for hours. I generally love changing my fragrances every season, and since spring is almost here, I thought I would create a list of my go-to scents for the season. Is it March 20th yet?1. Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana 2. Roses de Chloe …

My All-Time Favorite Halloween Costumes

Halloween happens to be my favorite time of year. C’mon, an entire day revolving around horror movies and candy? What’s not to love? But the problem is, I tend to wait last minute to do almost everything which includes picking out a Halloween costume. This leaves me with a limited selection of costumes choices to choose from, causing me to go as something idiotic. But if you’re anything like me, and tend to wait last minute to pick out a costume; fret no more. Alas, there’s a solution that slight predicament. Believe or not, you can actually create a totally chic Halloween costume with items you already have in your closet. Above are three examples of costumes I’ve worn in the past. My all-time favorite is going as a flapper. I’m totally obsessed with the 20’s, (hence, the title for my blog), and going as a flapper is my most favorite disguise. The first rule to pulling off this look is the dress. Everyone always chooses a dress with fringe detailing but I like to …
