My Favorite Fashion Moments of 2014

As we bid farewell to 2014, we take the time to reminisce over the wondrous moments which took place during the past twelve months. Fortunately for a fashion devotee such as myself, there were plenty of fascinating fashion moments which occurred during 2014. From Lupita Nyong’o Oscars dress to Taylor Swift’s Oscar de la Renta Met Gala gown, there were ton of legendary couture moments during 2014. But seeing how there were too many to go around, I’ve decided to break them down into my ultimate favorites. Which of your favorite made the list?

Phillip Lim Madness

There were many incredible collections to come out of NYFW this year. I mean who could forget that beautiful scene over at Oscar de la Renta? Talk about genius, the man can do no wrong. So, if you asked me to choose one particular show, which I valued above all the others, you would be wise to call me insane. Seeing how no sane human being could simply pick one. But despite the fact that there was something in every show which I enjoyed, there was one which I enjoyed a little more than the others. The talented creations of Mr. Phillip Lim. It seems that every year Mr. Lim unveils a new collection, I’m consistently raving about how amazing it was. This is because the man is simply infused with talent. Talent which is untouchable by any other. This year, every piece which was featured in Lim’s SS15 collection appeared to be specifically designed with me in mind. Seriously, it was like the designer personally called me up and asked what I wanted in a spring/summer …

My April Wish-List

As we get further into spring, and the temps begin to rise, I find myself gravitating more towards “pretty” clothing. As you can see from my “April Wish-List” below; there’s not a single dark color in sight. In fact, the majority of the collection is entirely in pastels. For my “April Wish-List”, I decided to go with floral’s and light colors because to me, that’s the whole representation of spring. One of my favorite items in the collection is this Emporio Armani structured tote, which I chose in turquoise. I recently took a new job as an e-commerce assistant at a luxury lingerie boutique and therefore need a bag which will fit everything from my i-Pad to my lipstick. That, apart from the totally chic design and color, was why I chose the tote. Everything pretty much speaks for itself. When I first saw this floral, Oscar de la Renta dress, I’ll admit I was a little afraid. I’m not exactly one for girly prints but the more I glanced at the dress; the more I felt …

Best of the Best: The Golden Globes Best Looks!

It’s that time of year again. The time when Hollywood’s crème de la crème dresses up and heads out for a night filled with champagne and awards. Now I’ll be honest; I didn’t watch the Golden Globes last night. In fact, I only tuned into E’s Red Carpet show and resorted to watching New Girl on Netflix afterwards. What can I say, I’m not really interested in discovering who wins whichever award for whichever category. When it comes to award shows, I’m solely interested in the fashion and there was nothing short of it last night. It was pretty tough to sift through only the best dressed looks of the night but after an hour of searching; I finally came up with the paramount of looks. If you feel that I missed someone who was absolutely superior in style; please feel free to email me or comment below and I’ll make sure to add them on the list. Enjoy!
