My Winter Essentials

Generally, I’m a huge summer enthusiast. I love shorts, maxi dresses, and overflowing chic scarfs. Basically everything that sums up summer, I’m a fan. But lately I’ve been anticipating the arrival of winter ever since the Christmas decorations starting going up. In my opinion, I feel that A/W collections are ten times better than the summer ones. Just take a look at Phillip Lim’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection. Can you say insanely chic? But as much as my new found love for winter suddenly increases, unfortunately the temperature decreases. With that being said, winter essentials are a vital part of the season; especially since I will be moving to NYC shortly. So I’ve complied a bunch of my favorite winter items which I feel are a requirement in order to fully survive the cold days that are ahead of us. Enjoy!   1. Beanie, $68, Cable-knit Sweater, Isabel Marant $413, Lip Balm, Fresh $22, Fur-lined Parka, J.Crew $335, Wool Leggings, Madwell $60, Hand Cream, L’Occitane $12, Rain Boots, Hunter $110, Fur-lined Mittens, UGG $150, Wool Socks, …

This past spring fashion runways lit up as models strolled out donning embroidered tunics, beaded statement necklaces and an array of printed ensembles. Season for Color

It’s no secret that summer is the season for color. It’s the time of year when we dismiss our greys and blacks, trading them in for any bright color we can find. This past spring, every fashion runway from Gucci, Jason Wu to Burberry was bursting with color as models strode down the runway showcasing brightest color ensembles. Whether it’s in the form of a dress, purse, or a pair of chic shoes, it’s no doubt that summer is most definitely the season for color! If you’re not a huge color enthusiast, there’s a simplistic way add color into your wardrobe without going over the top. Add a necklace or a pair of bracelets in a bright shade such as yellow or orange. By doing this your easily adding a pop of color in a subtle way. If you are a huge color devotee, such as myself, then anything pretty much goes. Take a cue from one of the models at the Fendi show (above) and pair a blue dress with an orange trench or merely …

June Wish-List!

June Wish-List! by sandrarose featuring asos Happy June everyone! June happens to be one of my favorite months because it’s that first month in summer when all possibilities are possible! I always feel once 4th of July is over, so is summer. That’s why I love June because it’s the start of summer and everything feels new and fresh. For this wish-list I kept things a bit simple because that’s pretty much how I love my clothing in summer. It can get extremely hot in the city here in the District so less is always preferred. I keep my fabrics light and patterns minimum. I usually like a lot of whites and nudes with maybe a bit of color thrown in every now and then. Although there are a couple of patterns above, I just couldn’t resist myself. That tribal inspired vest from Zara was just a complete must-have. Enjoy the beginning of summer and always feel free to send me your favorites must-haves for the month of June! xx Sandra Stucco Stripped Dress-Madwell $115 Mirrored Vest-Zara $90 Nude …

Three Simple Ways To Wear Menswear!

Three Simple Ways To Wear Menswear! by sandrarose featuring rachel comey booties I’ve always liked a little masculinity in my clothing. The silhouette is always sophisticated and on cue. I’ve complied three outfits crafted with three of my favorite menswear pieces, a suit, blazer, and over sized cardigan. The outfits above give you an idea of just how easy it is to take any piece from your beau’s closet and turn it into something your own. Suit– Technically this a two piece woman’s suit but the fit is loose giving it that masculine feel. You can easily take a menswear suit and do just the exact. Just make sure to look for soft colors so that the whole outfit doesn’t look too masculine. You still want to keep that femininity. Also make sure the fit is right, if it isn’t then a tailor is your best bet. Blazer– I love men’s blazer’s, the fit is perfect as is the shape. I decided to pair this blazer with a fitted collared shirt, distressed skinnies, nude ankle …

My April Wish-List

My April Wish-List by sandrarose featuring leather handbags Holla! For this month’s wish-list, there was an arrangement of all sorts of items chosen. At first they might look completely random but they each hold a certain amount of importance this spring. 1.) Clemtis Maxi Skirt-The color and pattern of this skirt couldn’t be more perfect for spring. I absolutely adore the watercolor aspect of it and the versatility as well. Pairing this with a chunky knit, wedges ant cross body satchel is so effortlessly chic, I can’t help but get goose bumps. 2.) Kenzo Neon Knit- I cannot profess my love for Kenzo enough. The brand desperately needs to team up with Target asap! But all things considered this knit leaves me speechless. The detailing and color alone are so incredibly modern. I can see myself wearing this a million numerous ways. I can either go sporty or casual, the possibilities with this knit are endless. 3.) Topshop Dress- This is such a Gaiety Girl dress. I’m a sucker for bazaar prints and patterns. I love how …
