Donatella Versace Named New Face of Givenchy

There many icons in the fashion industry. There is no question that, Donatella Versace; is by far one of the best. With over two decades of experience under her belt, Donatella is no stranger to the industry. So it comes as no surprise that Ms. Versace has earned herself a noteworthy group of stylish friends along the way. One of those being Ricardo Tisci, the legendary Creative Director at Givenchy. So, what does one iconic fashion designer give to another as a gift? Well, for starters, one could always make you the face of their new line. Which is exactly what Tisci did for Versace. It was announced, early on Tuesday, that Donatella would be the face of Givenchy’s new fall 2015 campaign. Tisci tweeted “So proud and honored to introduce my new ultimate icon: Donatella Versace #FW15 #Givenchy #Family #Campaign,” along with a picture of the two together. Hmm, so does this mean Tisci will star in Versace‘s fall 2015 campaign? One can only hope! Advertisements

My All-Time Favorite Halloween Costumes

Halloween happens to be my favorite time of year. C’mon, an entire day revolving around horror movies and candy? What’s not to love? But the problem is, I tend to wait last minute to do almost everything which includes picking out a Halloween costume. This leaves me with a limited selection of costumes choices to choose from, causing me to go as something idiotic. But if you’re anything like me, and tend to wait last minute to pick out a costume; fret no more. Alas, there’s a solution that slight predicament. Believe or not, you can actually create a totally chic Halloween costume with items you already have in your closet. Above are three examples of costumes I’ve worn in the past. My all-time favorite is going as a flapper. I’m totally obsessed with the 20’s, (hence, the title for my blog), and going as a flapper is my most favorite disguise. The first rule to pulling off this look is the dress. Everyone always chooses a dress with fringe detailing but I like to …

My May Wish-List

Happy May followers! If you’re like me, and currently reside in the Northeast; then the arrival of the month of May is indeed something to rejoice about. With the weather finally starting to corporate, I can actually begin to wear all of the items I purchased for the warmer days. For the month of May, I am really feeling the gingham trend, as well as knee-length shorts, (as seen below). I’ve never been a huge fan of the high-waisted shorts that tend to have a problem with gravity. Since I’m something of a tomboy myself, the knee-length short trend couldn’t be more perfect. I’m also a huge fan of oxfords (I currently own five pairs), and blazers, I was extremely excited when I discovered this white, boyfriend-style version from Givenchy. I really adore everything Givenvhy has been doing lately, and their attention to detail, as well as shape; really makes me adore the brand even more.
