The Best Fragrances For Spring

If you currently reside anywhere within the Northeast; you’ve probably had your fair share of snow this winter. Luckily, spring is just around the corner, which means the approach of warmer temps and fresh beauty ideas. To be honest, when it comes to make-up, I tend to keep it minimal. However, when it comes to my fragrances; that’s where I really excel. To me, scent is a huge essential of creating the perfect ensemble. An outfit is not quite the same without a spritz of perfume to render it into betterment. My fragrance palate is usually drawn to scents with floral and musky notes. I like a little vanilla here and there too, but nothing ignites my senses quite like peonies. The scent is so intoxicating, I could bathe in it for hours. I generally love changing my fragrances every season, and since spring is almost here, I thought I would create a list of my go-to scents for the season. Is it March 20th yet?1. Color of the Season: Blush

Let’s us bow our heads for a moment, in remembrance of all the wonder that came out of NYC Fashion Week this past September. The runways were bursting with pastels, florals, and sheer ensembles, enough to make any fashionista gasp with unyielding desire. Spring fashion has always been my favorite and for good reason. One particular spring trend which I am avid fan of, is none other than the reoccurring incorporation of the color blush. S/S 14′ RTW runways such as Stella McCartney, Burberry Prorsum, and Chloe were all seen integrating the color somehow into their collections. The color is perfect  for spring with it’s ease and effortless femininity. Despite being an internal girly-girl, I usually gravitate towards basics and rarely wear bright colors such as pink. But since the color can easily fade into the neutral category, I find myself growing more fond of it each and every day. With that said, it;s time to ditch the oppressive shades of black and gray, and begin sporting the ladylike colors of blush and pink.

Three Ways To Wear Wide-Leg Trousers

One of my favorite trends to look forward to this spring is none other than the wide-leg trouser. As I predicted a few weeks ago, this trend was sure to be huge come spring 2014, and sure enough; they were seen everywhere during Paris Fashion Week. The trend is a slight throwback to old Hollywood glamour. Think Katherine Hepburn meets Veronica Lake. To celebrate this particular trend, I’ve decided to compile three looks which incorporates the trend altogether.  Which is your favorite?

3 Ways to Look Chic This New Year’s Eve

It’s no secret that New Year’s Eve is by far the most majestic night of the year.  It’s the one time of year when everyone comes together to celebrate the past and look forward to the future. So it’s safe to say that choosing a spectacular ensemble is vital. Usually I don’t like being conventional when it comes to dressing up. I generally march to the own beat of my drum when it comes to style. So for a major event such as New Year’s Eve; I decided to do the same. I’ve complied together three killer outfits which I feel are guaranteed to turn heads come December 31st. Who knows, you might actually score yourself a steamy midnight kiss from the gorgeous bartender. Look for Less: Chloe Spring RTW 2013

My endless love for the Parisian brand Chloe is indescribable. This is why I’ve decided to choose a look from their S/S 2013 collection and not only make it affordable but also my own. I’ve chosen this particular look because it’s fun and perfect for those last couple days of summer. As it’s starting to cool off a bit pants are becoming easier to wear. I personally like mine cropped at the ankle as well as tailored. The pants I chose are from Paul and Joe and they’re probably the most expensive item among the list at $259. I found an almost identical crop top shirt from River Island for only $12 which in my opinion is a complete steal. I chose to ditch the pointed toe flats and opted for these fun sandals from ASOS for only $30. I thought the smidge of yellow really meshed well together with the red and black. I added a simple gold necklace from Topshop and a nude, chain strap purse from a U.K store originally titled Rare London. …
