Paging Captain Kirk! Innovation Meets Style With Tommy Hilfiger’s Solar Panel Jacket

Tommy Hilfiger Solar Panel Jacket

Let’s talk innovation for a moment. It’s common to hear the word thrown around when it comes to technology. When it comes to fashion, that’s an entirely different story. But for the folks over at Tommy Hilfiger, that story is one to be read aloud. The newest novelty from the designer, whose aesthetic mainly centers around classic American chic, appears to be something right out of a Star Trek episode. Now, I first laid eyes on this magnificent invention while I was gazing upon this months’ issue of Marie Claire. When I figure out what the product actually was, it nearly blew my mind.

This Solar Panel jacket from Tommy Hilfiger features a removable solar pack that charges a battery to keep your mobile devices working while on the go. If gets better. While in direct sunlight, the battery is fully capable of charging up to two devices at a time. Now, the jacket will cost you up to $599, not including taxes. But I mean talk about an investment, this jacket pretty much does it all. Just think, you’ll never have to worry about forgetting your charger or running low on battery life. With this incredible invention, you can rid yourself from anxiety.

Not to mention, it’s utterly stylish as well.

I am a journalistic enthusiast, born and bred in Washington, D.C. When I'm not busy meticulously constructing posts, I can be found burying my head in an epic novel, cooking a delicious mess in the kitchen, scouring local thrift stores, and spending way too much time binging on Netflix (Arrested Development anyone?). I cannot live without a good playlist (Billy Holiday is preferred), working wifi (sometimes not always working), and Dunkin Donuts coffee (caramel swirl is my go-to flavor). If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to direct them to the email below. Happy Reading!
