One Item, Two Ways: Denim Overalls by sandrarose featuring juicy couture shoulder bags
We can all agree that dresses are a key staple for spring apparel. And if you’re anything like me; then you understand how important it is to look fabulous without breaking the bank. Even though I have an immense love for luxury brands, you won’t find me in Saks or Barney’s every weekend shopping like a Kardashian. Instead, you can find me scouring local thrift stores and flea markets for unique and original pieces at an incredible deal. Despite what you might think, it is actually possible to score fabulous clothing at a stellar price. You just have to know where to look. So I’ve searched the web for the most stylish dresses at a reasonable price. What I came up with is a collection of chic dresses that will you completely speechless. Enjoy!
I’m a huge fan of the simplistic elegance a designer manages to bring to a collection. You know, sophistication meets ease with just a slight hint of androgyny. Not many designers can pull it off and there seem to be only a handful who can. One of those designers goes by the name of Joseph Alturzarra. I have been a fan of Altuzarra for awhile and celebs like Jessica Alba and Sandra Bullock are just among the many who share my extreme love for the designer. For his Spring 14′ RTW collection, Altuzarra had no difficulty incorporating that effortless grace he’s so famous for. Models flowed down the runway in elegant ensembles which might leave one envisioning the romantic isles of Greece or the south of France. White men shirts were effortlessly tucked into mid-length skirts made from shantung silks and soft cottons. Patterns were kept minimal with only the occasional French ticking stripes on a blouse or skirt. It’s a collection perfect for spring but even more appropriate for summer as well. All in all, …

How To Wear Pastel by sandrarose featuring pocket pants
While I was scanning through the numerous S/S 14′ RTW collections, I noticed a reoccurring theme. Models were no longer strutting down the runway in 7 inch heels. Instead, they’re appeared to be wearing what looked like Birkenstock sandals. No, that is not a typo you just read. Every runway from Céline to Givenchy, models appeared to have resorted from gorgeous snakeskin heels to sporty, Birkenstock-like sandals. It would appear that this particular runway craze has turned into a full on Spring trend. Now I’m not 100% ready to toss my heels aside just yet. However, I will say that the trend is slightly more comfortable than my pair of 6-inch Manolo’s. And I guess if brands like Marni and Giambatista Vali are among the many to get behind the trend, then it has to be chic right?
