When I was young, I used to hate turtlenecks. The suffocating sensation I’d get while wearing them always bothered me, and I always thought I looked incredibly odd. But between childhood and now, something evidently changed. Now, I seem to gravitate towards the sweater and have a rather large collection. But not everyone shares my love for the turtleneck. In fact; many actually hate it and I don’t blame them.
Turtlenecks can be rather tricky to wear. Too tight and they make you appear as if you’re choking. Too loose and the can make you look dumpy. But when worn right way, the turtleneck can actually be really chic. Remember Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face? Now that fall is well on it’s on its way, sweaters are popping up everywhere. From cable-knits to oversized; sweaters are a complete must for this season and why not try your luck with a turtleneck? For some inspiration on how to style your turtleneck, just check out the three outfits I’ve put together below!
