Happy B-Day Diane Kruger: 5 of Her Best Looks So Far!

It takes a lot to become a movie star. Usually one shows up to the city of dreams in hopes of making it big in films, following in the steps of other s such as Betty Davis, Katherine Hepburn, Joan Crawford and of course; Marylin Monroe. But what one forgets to tell you is that once you do make it big, there’s so much more that comes along with the title of “Hollywood Starlet”. It takes more than just simply being able to act. It takes grace, elegance and style.

One of those starlets that appears to have a tight grasp on this concept is none other than Mr. Diane Kruger. Whenever one looks at the German beauty, it’s hard not to acknowledge the poise and sophistication she carries herself with. Every outfit she chooses on the red carpet is utterly stylish as well as originally unique. In honor of her turning 37 today (shocker right?), I’ve decided to pinpoint five of her best ensembles throughout the past and present.

Although it was a bit difficult seeing how she hardly ever wears anything hideous, I think I’ve managed quite well. You be the judge.

Happy B-Day Diane KrugerBack in March, Diane chose to wear a white Carven top paired with red leather Vanessa Bruno skirt for a book signing in L.A.  The ensemble is quintessentially Kruger with it being chic, modern and refreshing!

Happy B-Day Diane Ktuger2. This is by bar one of my favorites from Ms. Kruger. At the Haiti Carnival benefit during the Cannes Film Festival in 2012, Kruger looked incredible a cobalt Jason Wu lace gown. She completed the look with black ankle strap heels and a black clutch. There really isn’t much one can say about this particular ensemble since it practically speaks for itself. Gorgeous!

Happy B-Day Diane Kruger For the 2011 Liaisons Au Louvre II Charity Gala in Paris, Kruger dazzled in a white and pastel green Alessandra Rich creation. She pulled the look together with a neon orange belt and nude strappy heels. This is such an uplifting look with the unanticipated pairing of the bright colors and the subtle silhouette. Once again Kruger proves to be a red carpet icon!

Happy B-Day Diane KrugerEarlier this year, Kruger proved that peplum is so incredibly easy to pull off. For an FX event, Kruger paired a white Jason Wu collared top with black peplum pants from the same designer. She finished the look with black strappy heels and a red Chanel bag. This is a very Parisian inspired look making it all the more chic and stylish.

Happy B-Day Diane Kruger For 2011 Met Gala in New York City, Kruger decided to wear Jason Wu once again. She paired the floor-length embellished creation with a black and gold clutch and black ankle-strap heels. This entire look just goes to show that Diane can pretty much pull off any look without even really trying. Pure perfection.

To be honest, whatever she chooses to wear, Diane will always be one of the masters of the red carpet. I cannot wait to see what she’ll decide to wear next. Without even trying, I’m sure it will something as fabulous as her past choices. Fingers crossed!

I am a journalistic enthusiast, born and bred in Washington, D.C. When I'm not busy meticulously constructing posts, I can be found burying my head in an epic novel, cooking a delicious mess in the kitchen, scouring local thrift stores, and spending way too much time binging on Netflix (Arrested Development anyone?). I cannot live without a good playlist (Billy Holiday is preferred), working wifi (sometimes not always working), and Dunkin Donuts coffee (caramel swirl is my go-to flavor). If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to direct them to the email below. Happy Reading!
