As the days inch closer to one of the most patriotic holidays of the year, an entire wardrobe must come along with it. For 4th of July, instead of donning a full on flag why not just incorporate subtle colors consisting of red, white and blue. Another alternative would be to add some stripes into your ensemble. You can never go wrong with such a pattern and it’s universally flattering. Finish off the look with some patriotic accessories and you’re goof to go! 1. White Chiffon Dress, Paprika $54, 2. One of a Kind: Cityblis Launches the 1st Fashion Pressroom of Its Kind.

It’s no secret that we can never have too much of a good ting. But when that particular object comes in the form of fashion, it’s safe to say some one us,(myself included), become downright greedy.  Starting today, the fashion media center Cityblis will be launching an online pressroom which will combine ecommerce and digital publishing making it the first of its kind. The unique online service will provide front row access revolving around some of the worlds talented independent designers to journalists and  reporters. The idea proves to be remarkably original in my opinion and is quickly gaining buzz from others as well. “Cityblis is not just a fashion platform anymore” said Christopher Price, the Chief Operating Officer of the  site. “With the launch of the Media Center, it is now also a full featured digital media hub” The idea of the Cityblis originally came along in a neighboring partnership with designers, journalists, bloggers, and other media professionals. The main goal of the site is to give designers a voice in an overshadowing industry, allowing journalists to decide which content is significant to them. …

Happy (belated) B-Day Solange Knowles!

Okay, so I know her b-day was actually yesterday but we’ll just pretend as if it were today. Solange Knowles (sister to Beyoncé) happens to be one of my favorite style icons. With her ever-so daring bold ensemble choices, as well as talented voice, there is no one like her in the industry today. With starlets such as Rihanna, Rita Ora and now Miley Cyrus donning “hip-hop chic” looks, Solange has chose to showcase a style that is retro with subtle notes of class and minimalism. She’s always rocking something original and new, leaving all of us fashion devotees in complete awe. So in celebration of her b-day, we’re taking a look back at some of her best and stylish looks! In this fun and playful look, Solange proves that you can pair different prints together just as long as they’re within the same color spectrum of course. The entire look is utterly refreshing from head to toe with just a bot of elegance thrown in. Back in 2012, Solange paired these bright red, tailored  shorts …

Summer Beauty: Essentials and Much, Much More!

Summer Beauty: Essentials and Much, Much More! by sandrarose featuring dkny As we say goodbye to spring, we welcome summer with open arms. But as summer swiftly sifts into orbit, we also say hello to warm weather which can sometimes take a toll on our beauty products. No need to fret because as long as you have a “goof-proof” make-up bag, everything should fall nicely into place! 1.  Of course the #1 product on this list is and should always be sunscreen. Unless you to want to look like Tan Mom in your 20’s. Always make sure to carry and apply sunscreen on a daily basis. I’m huge fan of Neutrogena products and I was extremely happy when they finally released a sunscreen specifically for your face. It’s wise to choose a sunscreen with SPF 25 for your face (this one has 30) and at least SPF 50 for the rest of your body.  Neutrogena Clear Face Sunscreen, SPF 30, $10  2.  It’s evident that you want to smell incredibly fresh in the summer what …

June Wish-List!

June Wish-List! by sandrarose featuring asos Happy June everyone! June happens to be one of my favorite months because it’s that first month in summer when all possibilities are possible! I always feel once 4th of July is over, so is summer. That’s why I love June because it’s the start of summer and everything feels new and fresh. For this wish-list I kept things a bit simple because that’s pretty much how I love my clothing in summer. It can get extremely hot in the city here in the District so less is always preferred. I keep my fabrics light and patterns minimum. I usually like a lot of whites and nudes with maybe a bit of color thrown in every now and then. Although there are a couple of patterns above, I just couldn’t resist myself. That tribal inspired vest from Zara was just a complete must-have. Enjoy the beginning of summer and always feel free to send me your favorites must-haves for the month of June! xx Sandra Stucco Stripped Dress-Madwell $115 Mirrored Vest-Zara $90 Nude …
