I hope everyone has been enjoying this fabulous weather that has finally decided to grace us with it’s presence. Am a fanatic for warm weather and like it rather hot. The cold doesn’t really suit me all that well. Perhaps it’s the Spanish blood that courses through my veins that causes me to have such love for boiling hot weather. Regardless of the reason, I’m just glad it’s finally warming up outside.
I was beginning to get a little worried there for a second.
So as the weather warms up we begin to see a vast shift in clothing. Individuals have traded in their layers and opted to show more skin. Long gone are the boring, thick coats that envelope us whole. No-no, they’re replaced by sheer blazers, mid-thigh chiffon skirts (preferably in bright colors), pretty dresses and short shorts in wondrous prints. Prints are such a huge part of my wardrobe and as I’ve progressed in fashion; have become something of an essential.
Printed shorts are such an easy way to upgrade and outfit as well as being totally chic. But not many know how to rock this glorious trend without being too over the top. With a few helpful hints anyone can look amazing in a trend that is-well…amazing!
This such an utterly chic outfit from head to toe. To achieve a more sophisticated look, pair your shorts with a peplum blouse and a structured blazer for an all-out modern feel. If you would like to go that extra mile add some funky jewelry along with some fun sunnies.
This look is simply stunning. It’s comfortable chic at it’s finest. Take a loose tee and tuck it halfway into your shorts. You can choose to roll the sleeves up like the girl did above or you can leave them as they are. Finish off the look with some nude gladiators, a structured bag and some chic sunglasses.
For a look that’s downright urban, coordinate your shorts with a fitted knit and ankle booties. Finish off the look with a cross body satchel and some gold jewelry. Make sure to add some personal touches as well.
Another chic way to rock this trend is pairing your shorts with a tailored blazer (loose is fine as well) and a simple tank. Add some edgy jewelry, a bright clutch and some ankle strap heels for a night out with the girls.
