Jennifer Lawrence for Miss Dior!

Every so often an actress comes along that makes our jaws drop due to their impeccable acting chops. Ms. Jennifer Lawrence seems to be one of those actresses. With the success of being nominated for her portrayal as a teenage girl in search for her absent father in 2011’s, Winter’s Bone, J.Law seems to have captivated Hollywood as well as everyone else who appreciates a good film. J.Law seems to have come way since 2011 and is nominated yet again for an Oscar for her performance in Silver Lining’s Playbook. If you have not seen it then I suggest you do because it’s one of the best movies of the year. What’s next for Ms. Lawrence, how about an ad campaign for one of the most iconic brands to date. If you haven’t already seen the pics to J.Law’s ad campaign for Miss Dior, no need to fret; they’re pretty much all over the internet by now. It only seemed appropriate that Jennifer chose to do the campaign seeing how she’s been wearing the designer …

Spring Trend: Grunge Worthy

Spring Trend: Grunge Worthy by sandrarose featuring gorjana Hello Lovelies! I hope all of you are as excited for this week to come to a close as I am. Honestly, since my schedule has become more packed, I’m noticing shorter hours of sleep and relaxation. But I guess that’s the price one pays when chasing their dreams. Regardless, this weekend for me will consist of rest and scouting the local thrift and consignment shops in the area for the Gaiety Shop which will launch sometime in summer. I’ll hold off on details until the launch comes closer but it will basically be a shop on Etsy consisting of vintage statement pieces that reflect the blog. As we saw during fashion week, there were many trends that emerged from the woodwork. One of those trends was none other than the effortless Grunge Inspired look. Being a child born of the 90’s, this look holds a deep from of nostalgic love. My wardrobe has too many plaid shirts to count and I have seasons of both My So Called Life and Freaks and Geeks on …

Obsessed Over…

Obsessed Over… by sandrarose featuring a leather shoulder bag Obsession is an emotion I’m relatively familiar with. I obsess over everything really. Bronte novels, strawberry frosted cupcakes, toe socks, you name it; I’m obsessing over it. But when something comes along that truly worth my obsession, I go a little crazy. My favorite item on this list would have to be the Seaberry Oil from Fresh. I did a post on it a couple months ago and have fallen head over heels in love with this product. I usually use it for my face and it give me a dewy glow which is perfect for this crazy D.C weather that has enveloped the district. Recently, I stumped my foot on a my couch because that’s just the extremely clumsy person I am. Regardless, I ended up receiving a horrible cut which resulted into a horrendous scar which didn’t look to hot on my ankle when it came time for heels. So me being the incredibly smart person I am (and not wanting to go all the way to CVS at …

February Wish-List

February Wish-List by sandrarose featuring a print dress This month it’s safe to say I’ve developed Spring Fever. Judging by my wish-list choices, that is beyond evident. I’ve been gradually noticing a change in my style since becoming a fashion editor. The days of wearing loose knits and combat flats to work have slowly evaporated. They’re now being replaced by more upscale and unusual articles of clothing I would have wrinkled my nose at years ago. I blame it on the numerous articles I have to write a week based on up and coming designers who have clearly had a strong impact on me. But please don’t be mistaken, I would gladly trade in my heels for my boots any day of the week but seeing as I need to make a fabulous impression; my casual style will have to stay put until casual Friday. Seeing as I must be two month’s ahead in time when it comes to writing (I am now working on April’s article) I am well immersed into the trends of Spring. For …
