Katy Perry Graces L’Officiel

It’s safe to say that Katy Perry has had her share of misfortunes this year. But when you open up the ultra chic issue of this months L’Officiel, it’s pretty much impossible to tell that the gorgeous popstar has had problems of any kind. Posing in creations from the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2012 collection, Ms. Perry looks bewitching. Sporting a bright orange wig, the superstar almost resembles yet another über chic signer/songwriter that goes by the name of Florence Welsh. Regardless or the similarities, Ms. Perry looks amazing and extremely stylish.

I always favor a person who isn’t afraid to experiment with fashion and make it their own. That is exactly what Katy Perry does all while looking composed and stunning. Katy started out in the music industry already being known for her quirky and kooky outfit choices. Smurf dresses, cupcake brassieres, and high-waisted sparkly shorts have all been featured in the superstars wardrobe from time to time. Taking cues from Gwen Stefani, Rihanna, Chloë Sevigny, and well…Florence Welsh herself who all belong in the same category when it comes to fashion. I applaud a girl who can make purple, pink, blue, and orange hair work without looking ridiculous or odd.

Although lately,  Katy has been seen wearing more tame outfits, that doesn’t mean she’s anywhere close to loosing her place on the fashionista’s best dressed list. Nope, if anything Katy is earning more stripes for her fashion choices. Which is refreshing since I’m not quite ready to see her disappear yet. So with that said let’s raise a glass of succulent red wine and toast the über chic songstress.

I am a journalistic enthusiast, born and bred in Washington, D.C. When I'm not busy meticulously constructing posts, I can be found burying my head in an epic novel, cooking a delicious mess in the kitchen, scouring local thrift stores, and spending way too much time binging on Netflix (Arrested Development anyone?). I cannot live without a good playlist (Billy Holiday is preferred), working wifi (sometimes not always working), and Dunkin Donuts coffee (caramel swirl is my go-to flavor).
